We want you to get wherever you're going quickly and safely - to work, into town or touring the countryside. That's why we develop innovative technology that allows you to simply relax as you pedal. Most importantly, we develop both the chassis AND the drive system of our e-bikes in-house, which means we're able to tailor them to your requirements all the better. You can accelerate powerfully on any Kalkhoff in our range. The Kalkhoff Endeavour makes a long tour amazingly relaxing, while our Sahel Compact Impulse e-bike is designed to fit conveniently in even the narrowest hallway or corridor. 

For over 95 years Kalkhoff has been developing impressive bikes on both the design and technology fronts. Every year we succeed in driving the trend forward and bringing significant innovations to market, made in Germany at our facility in Cloppenburg. 

 

Kalkhoff has one of the most advanced and largest test centres in Europe. Three engineers oversee this linchpin of production. They test frames as well as forks, seatposts, handlebars, stems, pannier racks, wheels, brakes, tyre-rim combinations, pedals, pedal cranks, grips and more, amounting to more than 1,000 parts a year. 

Each Kalkhoff bicycle is individually assembled. The individual departments conduct quality controls throughout the production process. At the end of assembly, each bike undergoes a 100% performance check in the test centre. 

 

In addition to the 10-year warranty on all e-bike and S-Pedelec frames, we are offering to extend the 2-year warranty by a further 12 months for all Impulse motors manufactured from 2017 onwards and purchased on or after 1 August 2017.
